Medano Creek is the name of the stream that flows at the base of the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. This National Park is know for stunning vistas of sand and snow. The creek flows at it's highest in late May and early June as the snow in the Sangre de Cristo mountains starts to melt. Médano is a Spanish word that means "sand dune". Fitting for a soap loaded with grit!
